Lord of Grace,

You are the God of the present moment and the architect of the future. I hand You the years that feel lost to busyness, stress, or exhaustion. Where I feel I fell short, I ask that Your grace steps in to fill the gaps. Wrap my children in Your protection and supply them with the blessings, joy, and security that I worry I failed to provide.

I pray for the courage to release the past so I can fully show up today. Open my eyes to the beautiful opportunities right in front of me to connect, to listen, and to love them exactly as they are right now. Give me the humility to speak words of healing if they are needed, and the hope to know that a parent’s relationship with their child can always grow, deepen, and renew at any stage of life.

Amen.

A Comforting Truth for Parents

It is a beautiful and painful reality of parenting that the higher the love, the higher the standard we hold ourselves to. When you love a child with every fiber of your being, any gap between "perfect" and "reality" feels like a chasm.

God does not expect perfection from you because He knows you are human. He chose you to be their parent, knowing full well the days you would be tired, distracted, or overwhelmed. Your children do not need a perfect parent; they thrive on the real, resilient, and enduring love of a parent who cares enough to wish they could have given the world.

Let the weight go. Your heart is in the right place, and that is exactly where healing begins.
